What is 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) - What does it do.
Members will choose on how to send a 6 digit one time code to either their email or cell phone number that on their recorded.
After they receive the 6 digit number, they enter it into the website and will be good for upto 8 hours.
Benefits of 2FA
Organizations use 2FA to help protect their members personal and chapter assets. This is important because it prevents cybercriminals from
stealing, destroying, or accessing your internal data records for their own use.
The advantages of 2FA are endless. For example, with 2FA, there’s no need for users to carry or download a token generator, or an app associated
with one.
Some other advantages of 2FA include:
• Passcode generators are more efficient than traditional passwords. Generators are the safer option because no two passcodes are the same.
• Max passcode entry prevents cybercriminals from hacking and accessing sensitive data.
• The process is manageable and user-friendly.
How to activate 2FA?
An individual member can click the "Update Profile" button (by the your name on this page) and check the Require 2FA Option.
A chapter administrator to activate if for all access to the chapter or just the following functions: Setup, Dues & Finance.
This can be done by going to the chapter setup link and selecting the "Security" tab and make your selection.
